"[+R]M PlusResult-MARITIEM is specialist in work on masts and rigging."

What's in it for me?

Your 'To-do-list' is shortened to one phone call with [+R]M PlusResult-MARITIEM.

Activities of [+R]M:

  • Activities that ensure you can fully enjoy your vessel being carried by the wind.

  • Tasks that resolve any issues with your vessel, mast, and rigging.

  • Work that helps prevent repairs at inconvenient moments later on.

  • And of course, inspections that give you a clear understanding of the vessel’s condition.

What every owner should know

  • Every ship, every mast, and all rigging is subject to wear and tear, regardless of whether the ship is sailing or not.

  • In salt water, there is more wear and tear due to the corrosive properties of salt combined with more intense UV radiation.

  • A ship always costs time and money, regardless of whether the ship is sailing or not.

Mission

The mission of [+R]M PlusResult-MARITIEM is to relieve the skipper/owner of their worries so that he/she has more time for the fun that a sailing yacht offers and can sail more safely.

Certified

[+R]M PlusResult–MARITIEM specializes in and is certified in "Safe Working at Height." All climbing equipment (harnesses, ascenders, descenders, work positioning lines, helmets, climbing lines, safety lines, lanyards, etc.) is industrially certified. Procedures are performed according to established safety protocols.

Rope Access

[+R]M PlusResult–MARITIEM uses the Rope Access method and climbs using its own lines, not your traps. The person at height uses two lines: a climbing line and a safety line. The person at height uses ascenders, allowing him to effortlessly "walk" upward. The climbing line is equipped with an advanced device for climbing, belaying, and descending. No winch is required, nor is a second person operating the winch. Rope Access is also sustainable because it doesn't require a motor.

All tools taken up are secured with lanyards. This prevents falls, and the ship remains undamaged.

Attention makes everything better

The mast and rigging generally don't get enough attention. Many parts of the mast and rigging are either invisible or difficult to access. Regardless of whether your boat is in the water or on shore, or whatever the season, it's always a good time to pay attention to the mast and rigging.

10 Golden Rules

  1. Keep the mast and rigging clean and regularly check for signs of damage and imperfections.

  2. Corrosion? Have the insulation of the components checked.

  3. Ensure the standing rigging is properly tensioned. Insufficient tension leads to increased wear.

  4. Ensure the running rigging is of the correct strength, and don't exceed it.

  5. Replace snap rings with split pins. Tape them off where necessary.

  6. Ensure all shackles, shackles, etc. have the correct breaking strength and are functioning properly.

  7. Check that the blocks (with sheave diameter) are in the correct position and correspond to the breaking strength and line thickness.

  8. Check the alignment of the rigging and correct it where necessary.

  9. Clean running rigging with water only; do not use detergents.

  10. Have the mast and rigging inspected regularly and promptly.
