[+R]M PlusResult-MARITIEM always goes aloft and inspects, at close range, the entire furling extrusion or Tuff Luff foil. The masthead and all equipment located at the top of the mast are also examined by visual inspection, by hand and by measurement. Why go aloft? Because inspecting from deck level with binoculars or a telephoto camera inevitably results in incomplete information and assumptions. That is not acceptable.

Particular attention is always paid to the degree of galvanic corrosion, as it is a strong indicator of how much care and attention the owner has given to the vessel.
